The TQF supports ‘grassroots’ single-seater racing in New Zealand with the most comprehensive prize package ever offered in NZ motor racing. The $60,000 annual funding is split across pole awards at North Island, South Island and New Zealand championship rounds, and travel incentives. The NZ Formula Ford champion and inter-island series winners are all supported with test drives in a Toyota Racing Series car.

An annual prize package of $70,000 is offered by the TQF to the winner of a TRS Scholarship towards competing in the Toyota Racing Series. The winner must be aged 21 years or younger and eligible for the appropriate MotorSport NZ license.

Drivers who have embarked on international careers and continue to show promise in their chosen path are eligible to be considered for financial assistance towards their racing budget.
So far, grants have been made to Liam Lawson (Formula 2) and Hunter McElrea (Indy Lights) to assist these young New Zealand drivers push towards their ultimate goal of racing in F1 and IndyCar respectively.
