Formula Ford

Since its establishment in 2021, TQF has been proud to support Formula Ford as a category, contributing approximately $250,000 through prize cheques, pole position awards, and travel funds - investments made in the belief that development categories represent one of the most vital pathways for emerging racing talent in this country.

In June 2026, Formula Ford shared expansion of funding for young drivers and that TQFs sponsorship of the category was no longer required following the signing of new major partner, Rodin Cars. TQF warmly welcomes Rodin’s increased involvement for Formula Ford.

Rather than stepping back, TQF has chosen to step forward - scroll down for more information on the new TQF Development Driver Fund.

John Smith

The Formula Ford Coordinator, November 2023

It's an honour to represent a foundation that is deeply committed to helping young Kiwi drivers turn potential into performance. Being part of the Tony Quinn Foundation goes beyond financial backing — it’s an opportunity to draw from the knowledge, experience, and vision of Tony Quinn and the trustees, who have helped shape so many Kiwi racing journeys. I’m truly thankful for their belief in me and their support towards my 2026 FIA Formula 3 campaign, as I chase the dream that’s fuelled me since the age of six — Formula 1.
